Ouch and Yawn

I am exhausted. I'm not sleeping well because my tooth hurts. I'm calling my dentist today and getting things scheduled to have another look. I rarely, if ever, take pain medication. I've had to take far too many Advil to be able to manage the pain. I think teeth are the worst - it's right inside your head like a marching band with a good drum corp. But it doesn't make me happy - at all.

Toothache

Toothache - it's not a laughing matter. But then
there's this bank....OK, it IS a laughing matter.

So, since I'm not sleeping well, I'm exhausted with a Friday exhaustion, instead of a Tuesday exhaustion. I'll be a wreck for the rest of the week. I may well bluw off opening the store tomorrow and let myself sleep, or take an afternoon nap for an hour or two to try and catch up. But that's tomorrow and I need to concentrate on today.

Passport Thru Day 22

My B2ME Passport updated through Day 22. There
won't be any white space left after Day 31 - LOL.

B2ME is wrapping up. I've had such a good time writing for this challenge. I'm up-to-date with my stories and just posted Day 27 publicly today. I have a group of very picky readers at Lizard Council who look my pieces over and catch errors that I may have in them. Thank goodness for eyes other than mine. Their catches have allowed me to have tighter, better crafted stories. Thanks, LC.

I was just telling my friend that I should ask you for something stronger than the Valium that my dentist will prescribe for me. But that would be unethical and I would never dare :-)

BTW - Rolling through House of God. So freakin' funny! I did my master's thesis on the elderly at a nursing home where I worked for more than two years. I SO understand GOMERS, sold beds, and the general ick-factor that can exist in old age. I hope I don't have that to look forward to, just shoot me now.

Oooo, no, prescribing controlled substances across state lines to someone I haven't personally examined - that's a surefire way to get into trouble with the DEA. I'd rather not have them on my case, thanks. ;)

House of God is an absolute classic - and the author's said that unfortunately, some of the stories are based in reality (the 'most organs hit with a single needle' is apparently one of them). But it is blackly funny. I read it the first time before starting med school and was horrified - and shortly again before I got my MD and laughed until I cried.
I would never even dream of asking you, and truly I might be a wuss, but I am a warrior at heart and can manage, even with needles and dentists.

House of God just rings so true. I have met doctors who fit those definitions all over the park. It's probably a really good reason why I hate most of the clinic doctors - they know their book knowledge, but dealing with people? The good ones never stay around very long.
