Winding Down the Week

I think I haven't been so grateful to have a week come to an end in a long time. This week has been very difficult - the toothache, the snow shoveling, the customers (lots of hand holding and individual guidance for my customers this week) and then I pulled one of the stories that I wrote because I just hated what I had written and had to take the time to write it again. *sigh*

Today is Saturday - pasta for dinner tonight, something that I look forward to all week. But today's story focus is already causing me conniptions, oy!

Writing a Book

Is there a book, or at least a novella hiding inside my computer? My
on-line friends who have been reading my stories for the month are
trying to convince me to continue writing. Maybe....

I hope to be able to relax a bit tomorrow. I'll play Lord of the Rings Online. They had an update earlier in the week and changed a bunch of things that will take me a bit to get accustomed to. And I'll try to write, although Sundays is a bit harder for me to find the thinking time. I'd like to do some beading, and I really have to start thinking about some of the art projects that I have hanging over my head :-)

Front Tengwar Detail

The etched copper disk on the top of the box has the Tengwar
script for the translation below which is on the inside cover. Etching
copper is one of my art forms. I have done it for many years.
Interior Box Top

This is my FINAL update. Please look and bid - BID HIGH - on my hand-made Tolkien-inspired jewelry box. It really is an amazing piece of art along with being a functional item, and all of the monies go to help alleviate colorectal cancer. Dig deep, people. Let's start making a difference by one beautiful item at a time.

I am sure there is!!

I do hope you have a lovely day of relaxing tomorrow.
I'm not so sure, but I'll probably keep writing, just not necessarily every day as I have been in B2ME. I work well under that type of structure - give me a theme and let me run with it. Having to make my own theme and daily markers...well, that's a different kettle of fish, as they say.

Hmmmm, that has possibilities - LOL. I'm sure I'll still find things to write about, but B2ME has been so much fun.

Got today SO nailed. Has had me laughing all morning. Now to get it retyped and posted for LC to look at tonight. Happy, happy me.

You are amazingly sweet, and so supportive. As I told Spiced, I'll probably keep writing, but I am a person who responds better to challenge, i.e., give me a theme and see what I can do with it. I'm not sure that Helyanwe is ready to walk her own road quite yet.

I do have an idea for a Finwean family reunion, featuring clan kilts of course, but at this juncture with Pande's marvelous tale, I think it will stay in the back of my mind only, or maybe become a quick piece of art down the line rather than step on her marvelously creative toes.

off to try and "wrassle" a dog into tricks
Oh, thank you Shirebound. And you have a birthday coming up on Monday. I hope that you celebrate for the entire weekend, after all, birthdays are just a wonderful excuse for a party!

Thanks Clodia. I will have some time on Sunday, but Saturday is a work day and relax is just a five letter word :-)

Hope you have a good weekend.I'm sure I shall do a lot of revision of my prompt stories. Why not join Tolkien Weekly and aim for a weekly drabble? It helps keep me writing when I might not especially feel like it.
The box is lovely.
Thanks Linda. What is Tolkien Weekly? I haven't heard of it before.

I was the high bidder - I had my heart set on the box and revised my maximum bid several times. My co-worker was here at my desk when I got the notification that I'd won, and she oooh'd and ahhh'd along with me. She lost her husband to colon cancer last year, so this was particularly meaningful to her. She asked me to convey her thanks for your creating such a lovely work of art, and sharing your gifts for such an important cause. *hugs*
I am SO thrilled. I am delighted that it is going to a fellow fan and one who appreciated it so much. I hope you enjoy it for years to come. Thank you for letting me know :-)))
