Bechdel Challenge Story - Trail Ride

I couldn't resist the challenge put forth to write a story featuring two women in an action/adventure setting wherein they hold conversations that don't revolve around a man. I put forward my story, "Trail Ride" featuring Nerdanel and her granddaughter Helyanwë.     I'm back--finally got a chance to read it. Very well done! I especially like the relationship between Helyanwë and her grandmother, and the details of the women working. I'm a sucker for anything that showcases Nerdanel as a craftsperson accomplished enough to match her husband, and it's clear that she knows her trade very well, here. The fight with the wolf was very vivid; I think the women should be able to brag about their accomplishment a little more!

    Thanks, it was a lot of fun to write something a bit more light-hearted than many of the WIPs I've got on my plate just now. What I'm really happy about is that the story fits into my H-uni very well - just dovetails right in there. I can just see that duster now...
