I'm Late......And In the House of Sickness

So, DH is sick. Like coughing every minute or two sick. He doesn't tolerate sickness well, he's all grumpy because he doesn't want to feel this badly. I can't really blame him. But, to try and avoid coming down with his creeping crud, I'm sleeping on the couch in the living room. Not the end of the world - I actually sleep on the couch fairly often, but not as comfy as the bed. I set my alarm, put my earplugs in so that his coughing wouldn't wake me up, and went to sleep. I woke up at 2:45 am and told myself that I had another 45 minutes to sleep, then went back to sleep. The lights turned on (automatically) at 4am and I woke up. Somehow, in my sleep, I had turned off my alarm, or it had finally given up trying to get through my ear plugs. Either way, I overslept 30 minutes. Oy veh! So...now I'm rushed and pics today will be quick and dirty - LOL.

We got a whisper of snow last night, and DH is determined to shovel it. I'm inclined to let him be the suffering hero. Hopefully he will be able to work tomorrow, then he can take the rest of the week off if he wants, just to recover from the "sickness". I feel like I should put a "Quarantined" sign on his door..... Have a sickness-free day today!

And, of course, today is Valentine's Day. I send a wave out to all of my friends and wish you a fabulous day. I appreciate each and every one of you, my life would be poorer without you.
He makes a terrible patient. We had a bit of snow last night, so I shoveled all of the places he normally would so that he won't have to do it. We'll celebrate Valentine's Day later in the month when he's feeling better again.

He's such a stubborn dwarf, but he went right to bed when he got home from work yesterday, not even eating dinner. He only does that when he's actually really sick, so he is not doing well. He'll recover, it's just a cold, but he's such a little baby :-) LOL

LOL - I agree with your studied research :-)

Thank you so much for the lovely orchid. You are amazing, generous and so sweet!

Get-well wishes for DH! I hope you stay well, and have a very nice day.
Thanks hun. I'm trying my best to stay healthy, at least bodily. Mentally...well, I lost that battle when I first picked up Lord of the Rings in the mid-1960's - LOL.

hugs to the most wonderful dog on the West Coast...
Happy Valentine's Day! Best wishes for your DH. Being under the weather is no fun, especially on a holiday. Lots of liquids and TLC; good idea to keep an eye on your own health.
Thanks Ky. We're starting to call him Typhoid since he seems to be passing this on to everyone in his vicinity. I'm drinking lots of tea to try and keep his nasty germs away from me. *hugs* to you on this Valentine's Day.

Men always act as if they were sickier than they are, but I hope he feels better soon! =)

Happy Valentine's Day!

He really does sound pretty crummy. Now if he would just stay in bed!

Happy Valentine's Day to you too, my friend.

Thank you so much, my dear. I'm trying everything I can to avoid catching this one. I don't enjoy being sick and I have to work - no choice, so being sick at work is REALLY not fun. I'm crossing my toes so that I can still type in text for my newest story :-)

Thank you for your kind wishes. This illness is absolutely malevolent. As much as I don't like sleeping on the couch, I'm hoping I moved down there fast enough this time that I can avoid catching this crud. Poor DH is just miserable.
