My Brain is Mush...

I'm getting more sleep than usual because of this illness of mine, but the drawback is that my brain feels like mush. I can't process storylines, I can't review with any depth, I can't develop new plots, I'm hopeless at writing right now and that disturbs me.

I can get some work done artistically, I do have a large enamel piece perched on my brain, but I don't have the strength to do that right now. I only hope that by the time I am finished with the antibiotics that I will have energy again *sigh*.

Waving out to Seth who is in town today. Love you, miss you, wish I was able to see you. Travel safely, come back to St Paul again.
I'm hopeless at writing right now and that disturbs me.

It always disturbs me when that happens too, but when you do feel better, you will probably find you feel more inspired than before. {{Hugs}} Just give it time.
I'm so IMPATIENT! I have things I want to say and plots I want to tackle...argh! I don't make a very good patient - LOL. Elrond would be highly tempted to just throw me into the nearest river.

My stubbornness can be a terrific asset. It's what allows me to bounce back from surgery quickly. But something like this, a lung infection that, unfortunately, I left untreated for too long, is taking me much longer to get over because the meds just push me down. I'm with your Mum. Pills should work instantly.

Well, meds have their own side-effects, unfortunately, and any kind of chest infection is so tiring. I did the same as you once, so I know how it feels. But because you feel low now, once you do feel better it's like feeling 200% better, and I expect you will do more writing, and feel great about it.
I will send some healing thoughts to you.

LOL - I'm looking forward to that 200% (and I'll happily accept any and all healing thoughts).

Don't worry - all this will soon pass and then you'll be as new. :) And as Spiced Wine says, you will probably be even more enthusiastic. :)
Well, I was able to put together a good drabble this morning, but I can't focus on two things that I have in the works, and their deadlines are approaching. I have to get my act together quickly and be useful again :-)

Make notes of any new ideas, but don't try and push yourself to do anything. The words will come back when your brain feels less fuzzy.
Because I usually walk a thin line, I compose better on the edge. Unfortunately, this cold has muddied that edge, so I am just foggy. Thanks for the good wishes :-)

I'm sure you'll be back to your usual self once you're healed up again. It might take a few days though.

(hugs)
Aw, thanks for the hugs, Samtyr. I know I'll get better, I'm just grouchy right now - LOL.

Thanks, Indy. I know I'll get better, I'm already massively better than I was last week. But I want to be fine NOW! (I'm not a patient person - LOL.)

I'm always like that while I'm ill too. It's so annoying - you have to take time off, so you want to use it, but of course you can't for the very reason that you're taking time off... I think the best thing to do is just to rest and let the illness pass. I hope you do and it does!
I don't rest well. I figure there's plenty of time for that when I'm dead or older and can't move effectively. Right now, I'm just frustrated - LOL.
