Lol! Weird even on LJ. Yeah. I suppose I should blame my interest in woman-bird hybrids for some of the damage. xD

This reminds me of a conversation I had with a semi-stranger at an audition. I'm all about easy socializing and we both had to wait a long while, so we basically ending up chatting like old friends, sharing notes etc. Then the conversation moved to our actual interests. I think it ended with "you make...bulgarian..folk..remixes?", which was my attempt at a a normal interest. After that, it was just awkward. :P
Women-bird hybrids? Too kewl! I think I need to get to know you even better - LOL.

I guess so, although others have gotten herdlike for writing or travelling, which a lot of us also enjoy, so I guess I can live with my total absorption in art :-)

My writing style is intellectual.... Intellectual fan fiction. O-kay.
I'd rather have intellectual than conventional. Then again, Pande got intellectual also. I tend to think I'm a bit less scientific and precise and thus wouldn't qualify for intellectual, but conventional kind of bothers me too. I feel for you!

I wonder how they measure this? I mean, there is no resemblance between Pande's style and mine, or our backgrounds. I'm quite logical, which is as close as I'll ever get to scientific, but that's it. Strange, lol.

Sure there is. I mean, we both use multisyllabic words, right? ;^)
LOL - If that's all it takes to be 'intellectual' then I'll join into the party and be happy. But I strongly suspect that it will take a great deal more than that before my writing even comes close to the expertise that our Pande demonstrates day after day.

Oh, lookee! A call out! :^D

Check your result again. It states thusly:

"Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) [emphasis mine] is..."

So the algorithm has not used my fan fiction (which I'd like to think is written in a style that is a bit different than a physics textbook), but at my most recent public entry. That would be the intro to my LJ, which is not remotely connected with anything scientific. So the algorithm apparently picks up something else, word use and phrasing perhaps? Plus these m-type things are about as robust as dowsing methodologies.
Hmmm, I do suspect that I am a bit conventional in my posts, but that's me. Clear, concise, and no prevarication. I'm not posting about esoteric topics, just day-to-day life experienced in the life of an aspiring author/artist/retailer. Feh! LOL.

I just did this meme, too. It seems that art/music/writing/anything of that sort will get you a certain percentage of herdlike. :D
