Revisions and Refocusing

Yesterday was horribly busy, but I felt pretty accomplished by the end of the day. The only frustrating part of the day was towards the end of my weekly phone conversation with my friend aearwen2  when her phone suddenly cut off. Maybe it was Spirit telling me that I'd been on the phone long enough, but suddenly it was dead air. I phoned her back and left a message on her machine, we'll figure it out eventually, but it was probably time for us to stop chatting anyway. It's amazing how fast the time goes when I'm talking with her :-)

I have one story still pending on B2ME, but everything else has been posted. I'm pretty pleased. I ended up writing 45 stories and doing one piece of artwork. I think I should just have written and skipped the artwork completely, so now I know. I broke the stories into categories and started editing so that I can post them on my archive boards. I'll be starting that within a day or two. Without a doubt there were some stories that are stronger or that I like more than others, but in a general overview, I'm pretty pleased with what I produced this year.

I picked up my income taxes from the accountant yesterday. We didn't get as much back in refunds this year as last, so I'll get less help with the household bills. It usually doesn't cause issues until February/March/April, but if we have a really cold winter and my utility bills are very high, it can be a major problem then. But, I'll see what happens when it happens. Have a fabulous day today!
I hope you have a fabulous day too.

Darn that IRS! Love the picture you posted.
Oh, there's nothing like the IRS *sigh*. And if my basic living expenses and local taxes weren't constantly increasing, I would be fine. But basic cost of living is up and my refund is down. That's going to cause some problems, I guarantee.

I posted the first three chapters on Fairie this morning, and since I'm starting out with my Maglor stories, they will also be posted at SWG and maybe at MPTT. This might be the ideal time to start posting on my AOOO account, I haven't done anything with that yet. I'm happy that I'm editing, though. There are certainly things that I look at and say "oops" when I come back after an absence.

Sorry about the phone cutting out. I guess my iPhone doesn't give much warning before it just... dies. *sigh* Got your voicemail, and yes, it's my turn next week.

We didn't get much refund this year either - but then, we didn't cash in much of our nest egg last year either, so I guess it works out right. BTW, our elect company (PG&E Pacific Graft and Extortion) averages our bill over 12 months and then charges that amount every month, saving us the mad pendulum swings caused by Mother Nature. Maybe yours does too? Just a thought...

Congrats on your B2ME creativity!!
I found it rather amusing that your phone was keeping better track of our time than either of us were :-)

I probably should look into the cost averaging for our utilities, but the last time I looked, it actually would have cost us a lot more, even though it would be adjusted once a year. I used to have this type of plan though and it probably is worth another look.

*hugs* talk at you next week :-)
